I wanted to drop a quick note in praise of the work that JC recently did at Hawthorne, specifically addressing the mold and flashing issues at my residence, 15420 13th Pl NE. JC was extremely efficient, polite, he communicated each step of the process and scheduled the repairs, following through on every item and making sure I knew what was next.

Having served on Hawthorne's Board for 4 years, I've been pleased with the work that Ruff Construction has done for us in the past, but this was my first time to experience your work personally. I was impressed by the professionalism and work performed, and wanted to take a moment to commend JC's work.

Just wanted to take a couple of seconds to tell you how nice both Eric and JC from Ruff construction are. They've been really great about taking shoes off, explaining what they are doing, etc. Professional and courteous. Not sure who you might pass that on to, but I wanted to take a moment to send on some nice words. It is great knowing that we are working with such good, professional folks.

I have had many opportunities to work with Mike Johnson and Ruff Construction on projects over the past several years. These projects have included but are not limited to the demolition and re-finishing of a unit gutted out by fire; several apartment unit deck re-builds, interior repairs ranging from drywall to cabinet replacements, and a multi-million dollar stucco/balcony/window repair and replacement project for a 123 unit apartment building in downtown Seattle.

Ruff Construction has completed projects whether large or small at a very high quality of work with an attention to details. He has respectfully communicated with project engineers, project supervisors and insurance representatives. Mike Johnson has accommodated schedules requiring quick turnaround with strict deadlines and has done so without complaint at no additional cost. Mike has provided his expert opinion on various projects and has done so truthfully and willingly whether he is recommending repairs or not.

I would like to let you know that once again your people have done a terrific job! Your company has saved us a substantial amount of money considering what a cracked foundation with water flowing in can mean to an apartment building on Queen Anne Hill, especially with those underground streams everywhere.

We had a hydraulic hose break on our compactor and they helped our ops guy get it under control and put plastic under the storm drain to prevent the oil from going into the drainage system potentially causing us a huge hazardous waste fine.

Not more than an hour ago, I talked to Diana in M-Bldg. Her deck was one that was replaced this year and she told me "Kudo's to Ruff, they did an excellent job on my deck". I glad to hear that Ruff is taking responsibility for Brian's patio. That's what a reputable company would do.

My name is Laura Avery and I am a tenant at the Urban Terrace Condos . I wanted to let you know what a great job Jerry and Jacy have been doing. They have been so considerate and polite to myself and the other tenants in our building. They have been the utmost outstanding construction personnel that has been contracted to work on our condos thus far. I am really impressed by their kindness and respect. They have acted as professionals and I'm glad to know that they are working hard. Thank you for providing Jerry and Jacy to work on our condos.

I wanted to send a quick note your way to say THANK YOU ! ! ! for the great work your team did recently on my home. Although it took over a year to get things sorted out, and I experienced a fair share of frustrations/challenges along the way, I want to commend your most recent team for the amazing job they did.

I want to specifically call out and recognize Noe and Gadiel. These guys are AWESOME and should be recognized for their efforts. They went above and beyond the call of duty (several times), and personified an attitude of "we're going to make this right and do it with excellence" the entire time. A key example of this was when they recognized the poor craftsmanship that had been done by the previous workers, and re-did the entire wall to ensure it looked perfect. Not only did they do a great job, but they were also extremely professional, respectful, and full of smiles. I felt they cared for my home as if it were their own.

I sent these two guys individual thank yous, but do hope you can recognize them in front of their peers, or with some type of monetary reward, because they certainly deserve it.

Good morning !! I just wanted to put my two cents worth in for Ruff Construction. Last Thursday morning two gentlemen were here to repair our water leak and what a thorough job they did. They were here almost all day removing the siding, wood trim pieces around the window, every thing down to the studs. Everything was either water stained or rotten (trim piece under the window). They did some finishing work on Thursday but returned Friday and finished with all new wood trim and new siding.

Needless to say we are very pleased with their workmanship, I highly recommend them for future repairs around here. Yes they were higher on their bid but the other two who tried to fix the problem didn't know what to look for.

Also I asked them about the availability of new siding and they get siding from a company in Kent and if the correct color is not on hand they order from a company in Portland, so we can get siding replacement, if needed.

I first wanted to say it has been a pleasure working with your company through the deck process. I really wanted to go out of my way to let you know your staff onsite has been a pleasure to work with. They are all very respectful and show a great deal of professionalism. I cant say enough about your staff in your office and out on the job site.

Since most of my dealings have been with Eric I also wanted you to know how much I have enjoyed working with him too. He is truly an asset to your company. As you know we have had some difficulties and Eric has stepped up to the plate and took the criticism with stride, which as you know, is a trait that is not always easy to come by. I truly do appreciate his professionalism and positive attitude.

I look forward to the next phase, as these decks are looking really beautiful and your staff will be missed in the interim.

Over the past several weeks you have taken on a lot of responsibility in regards to the B building water remediation work. After the sudden resignation of a member you agreed to step up and handle the management of the work in the three units damaged by water. This took a huge burden off of the Board and me and we appreciate that.

Not only did you agree to do the management of the project you later agreed to do this work for no charge to the Association. I find this to be more than generous and can't begin to thank you enough.
